Here is a peek at what we will be learning about this month in Promiseland!
Virtue: A virtue is something God does in us to change the world around us. This month the virtue is Forgiveness which is defined as deciding that someone who has wronged you doesn’t have to pay.
Memory Verse: "Forgive the things you are holding against one another. Forgive, just as the Lord forgave you.”
Week 1: (No Mercy, August 29th)
Bible Story: Matthew 18:21-25 (The parable of the unmerciful servent)
Bottom Line: Since God forgiven you, you should forgive others.

Parent Fuel Pack: At the first of each month we hand out Fuel Packs for our parents. If you did not receive one the first Sunday of the month, be sure to pick up yours from your child’s Shepherd.
In the Parent Fuel Pack you’ll find great resources for your child to continue learning at home about the things they learned on the weekend. By using this resource as parents you will be able to better disciple your children at home, because what happened in the home is more important than what happens at church.

2gether Family Experience: (August & December 2010)
2gether is sort of like what we do any given Sunday remixed for the entire family. It is a fast, noisy, zany, multi-media, kid-focused, parent-centered, virtue-driven extravaganza. This 50 – minute conglomeration combines two mismatched host, several wacky actors, cool tunes, captivating video and compelling storytellers to say something profound for the entire family to take home.
And that’s exactly the point.
2gether is the best way for responsible parents to continue the conversation at home of what we are learning on the weekends through out the week, because we believe that what happen at home is more important than what happens at church.
If you come, we promise we will make sure you leave with plenty of stuff to take home with you to make your job easier as a parent.
